SpielerPlus and handball.net launch partnership
SPM Sportplatz Media and the German Handball Federation (DHB) have entered into a partnership for their respective platforms, SpielerPlus and handball.net, to digitize game operations in amateur sports: SpielerPlus will become the official team management app for the new game data platform, handball.net.
The goal of this collaboration is to make it easier for handball players to organize their teams and to combine the strengths of both platforms. With over 80 percent of all German handball teams, SpielerPlus already has the majority of German handball players in its own community. Through the partnership with handball.net, SpielerPlus users can import their game schedules directly from handball.net into the team organization app.
hanbdall.net also stands to benefit significantly from the partnership. Thanks to its integration with the SpielerPlus app, the DHB’s new game data platform gains strong visibility among its target audience and direct access to the SpielerPlus handball community.
“Handball in Germany has a strong community! We are very excited that this partnership will allow us to provide all handball players with numerous benefits that make it easier to organize games,” said Marcel Hager, CEO of SPM Sportplatz Media.
Thomas Zimmermann, Director of Marketing and Communications at DHB e.V., on the partnership with SpielerPlus: “We’re excited to be joining forces with SpielerPlus. This brings together two apps dedicated to handball. In particular, the ability to import game schedules opens up entirely new possibilities for team organization in handball.”
