The DFB and SPM Sportplatz Media have once again extended their marketing partnership for FUSSBALL.DE by two years
SPM Sportplatz Media has been supporting the German Football Association (DFB) since 2020 in marketing its digital amateur soccer reach, particularly the high-reach match data and results platform FUSSBALL.DE. The partnership has now been extended again, initially through July 2026.
Premium and reach advertising on FUSSBALL.DE
Since the start of their partnership, SPM Sportplatz Media and the DFB have achieved significant successes together—most notably for FUSSBALL.DE, the DFB’s platform for amateur soccer. Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, lockdowns, and the resulting hiatus in amateur soccer, marketing revenue has increased year after year. Accordingly, the focus in the coming years will continue to be on optimizing the marketing of FUSSBALL.DE’s desktop, mobile, and app reach, from both a monetization and a user perspective. Advertisers can also look forward to new, innovative ad formats that will be implemented over the course of the year.
FUSSBALL.DE is the home of amateur soccer and reaches 5 million unique users each month. Across all channels, it generates approximately 650 million page impressions per month. With a state-of-the-art AdStack, direct sales, programmatic advertising, and a 100 percent target audience match, the SPM Sports Media Network offers everything needed for optimal monetization of this strong reach. The extension of the marketing partnership enables SPM to continue offering advertisers nationwide access to “Soccer Germany.”
Robert Waltke, Senior Head of Digital Marketing, DFB GmbH & Co. KG: "We are pleased to have had SPM as a highly professional marketing partner by our side since 2020. Thanks to SPM, we have been able to significantly increase our marketing revenue on FUSSBALL.DE. We also value the personal rapport we have with the SPM team. We look forward to continuing our collaboration in the coming years."
"For us at SPM, marketing our partners' digital reach is a team effort, and collaboration with our partners plays a key role in our success. The trusting, partnership-based collaboration with the DFB team over the past four years has been the foundation for the success of this partnership, and I am very much looking forward to continuing it for the long term," adds Marcel Hager, CEO of SPM Sportplatz Media GmbH.
